Last night (22nd April 2023) Australian comedian Barry Humphries, known for his most popular character Dame Edna Everage, has died in Sydney at the age of 89.

A truly iconic Australian comic who has left the world in shock after his passing, from everyone from all walks of life paying tribute. From the general person on the street to King Charles II. It goes to show the reach this Australian has had through his career here in Australia, in the United Kingdom and around the world.

RIP Barry, you will be missed. But your final curtain call has now fallen. It is time to rest.
