Respite / Home Repairs

So, after nearly 6 months the repairs at home are finally happening next week. And because it involves tiling within the bathroom it means I can not remain at home during this time. It means I am having to go into respite for 4 days. Being put up at a very nice location, see image of where I am staying below.

This is not a cheap place as we have to have a studio apartment that is fully wheelchair assessable. This is not going to be a very cheap few days. They cover support workers every day, food, activities I want to do and the good thing is because the repairs are all related to my amputation and wheelchair this is being fully paid for under my NDIS.

The good thing is once I get home the falls from the wheelchair going into or out of the bathroom should stop. Means I will be fully able to start getting up on my prosthetic leg, more details on this one soon. I will be doing posts during my visit to the Mantra Ettalong Beach between Monday and Thursday to catch up on a lot of posts I have been missing as of late.
