Date Is Confirmed

The date is now confirmed for filming my part in the doco on Homelessness and Mental Health.

As I have been on the streets for more then 20 years, had so many struggles (a lot linked to my mental health) over this period of time. However, in the last 19 months I have overcome so many barriers put in my face to stop me getting my life back on track. But with the help of my caseworkers and Coast Shelter we have overcome a lot of these barriers. We have sorted issues with Housing NSW and the NDIS just to name 2. If you follow me on a regular basis you will already know the other struggles I have and what I have overcome.

Things have not been easy since moving in here since May 2018. There has been many hurddles and rocky roads along the way. But so far everything that has been thrown at me I have overcome and I will keep overcoming them too.

Yesterday afternoon I heard from the NDIS again and we have the next step in place. The next step is the planning meeting on what I need and how often. So we have this appt. scheduled for the 17th Dec. So we are getting this done before Christmas to try and not have it delayed any further. So I am happy with that. And Peter and Steve will be with me at the appt. which we are having at Coimba as we need an office as I don’t want them coming to my home. And there also isn’t the room here for everyone either.

Also I can’t beleive we are only 18 days away from Christmas. This will be the 2nd Christmas that I have actually lived somewhere and not being on my own. It does make a massive difference. Even though we celebrate it a few days early as all the caseworkers are off on Christmas Day to spend time with their families.

I will keep you posted as to everything else that is going on as time continues. I am now starting to make more regular posts, so this will continue into 2020. Which is going to be a year of complete differences to what I am used too.
