Right now it’s just after 2am. I haven’t long woken up and am now sitting at the PC and writing this post.
Things for me at the moment are not going the best. It just feels like everything is starting to fall apart again. I am having so many issues with support workers, I just don’t know how I am coping with all of this at the moment. All I need are workers that can do their job and pretty much leave me in peace whilst they do it (apart from Friday that is). My problem is I keep getting sent young people who have next to no experience and don’t really care what they do, and it gets on my nerves very easily.
Let’s go back to Monday week for an example. The worker that I had to assist with cleaning for some reason had domestic cleaner/bleach in my bedroom and poured it over my bed and didn’t tell me, and it turned into soaking through my sheet, heated blanket, mattress protector and right through onto the mattress. Now the company has to replace everything apart from the mattress. The bleach even went onto my back and caused mild chemical burns. Luckily, it wasn’t worse than what it is.
Others and I just don’t understand what domestic cleaner/bleach was being used in the bedroom for anyway. And the has been no reason given as to why I wasn’t told (apart from the fact she didn’t think it was that bad), and also why it was being used in there in the first place.
Hopefully, next Monday’s worker will have a bit more sense and tell me things if mistakes happen, which I get, but I do need to know about them so that the situation can be sorted there and then and not left until hours after they have already left.
On Wednesday, I am back at the amputee clinic, and hopefully, within a couple of weeks, I will be back up and getting around on the prosthetic and doing things I want to do, like going back to the pool and getting back to swimming, which is something that I really miss doing.
I am also thinking about revamping my website, which is something I am going to give a bit more thought and direction and maybe work on this over the coming week or so.
