Today was a little different from my usual weekend routine, as I did not have my regular support shift with Bodie. He was unavailable due to training commitments for first-grade football. In the near future, we will also be moving our regular shifts from Saturday back to Sunday once the local football season has finished.
To be honest, I am happy with either Saturday or Sunday, so the change does not bother me. Instead, we will be completing this week’s community access shift tomorrow.
We have already made some plans for the day. We will start with breakfast at a local café that Bodie knows well before heading out for a drive to Freemans Waterhole. From there, we plan to continue towards Terrigal before making our way home. We will either have lunch at Freemans Waterhole or Terrigal, and I have left the final decision up to Bodie.
With money being a little tight this weekend, I have also had to set a budget for tomorrow’s outing. It is important to keep an eye on my spending while still enjoying the opportunity to get out and about.
Looking ahead to next week, I will be receiving my six-monthly Centrelink loan, and I have plans to upgrade my laptop. My current laptop is now six years old, so I feel it is definitely time for an upgrade, particularly to keep up with my gaming and streaming.
Jmatt has recommended that I consider a Lenovo, and after looking through the available specifications and systems, I believe that is the direction I will be taking. I am planning to purchase a Lenovo Legion 5, which I have included an image of below.

I have to say, it looks like an impressive machine, and I am hoping it will significantly improve my gaming and streaming experience. Moving from an Intel i5 processor to an i7 should provide a noticeable improvement in performance, which is something I am certainly looking forward to.
I have also decided that it is time to make some positive changes to my eating habits. I am planning to have Chaice prepare more salad-based and healthier meals as part of a move towards a healthier lifestyle.
Starting next Saturday, 5 September, I have also arranged with QUE to extend my weekend support shift by an additional hour. Instead of the usual 9:00 am to 3:00 pm shift, we will now be starting at 8:00 am and finishing at 3:00 pm.
The additional time will allow us to begin visiting the local gym for between 30 and 60 minutes each week. Bodie is currently putting together a gym plan that will focus on helping me strengthen my arms and leg, which I am looking forward to incorporating into my weekly routine.
There are a few positive changes ahead, and I am looking forward to seeing how these new routines, healthier eating habits, and increased exercise fit into my lifestyle.
That is enough from me for now. As always, thank you for reading, and I will have more updates to share soon.
